No it is relatively quiet.

Memorex CMC MAG M01 burned at 16X with Nero Express 7.10.1.2.
Ist scan at 8X, 2nd at 4X.

Rolling56I am in andersonville tennesse, bought drive from newegg retail, date on drive i think is sept firmware 9P53 also i notice that drive at front of forum has 9P54 i also have two 20A1p drives noise is about same on all three drives seems to do fine

No. 20A3 firmware will not work in a 20A4 drive. They have a different chipset.

I was setting 12X for the burn speed. The drive is in an older USB case that sometimes is unhappy at speeds higher than this. I just checked the burst rate of the drive in this case and it's 22MB/s. As you can see above a 16X burn came out decent. Anything higher than 16X and I'll have to put it in my system. Maybe tomorrow..

Perhaps we should move these scans to a 20A4P results thread.
