I've seen in a web shop a new LiteOn model, the DH-20A4P, at a very low price. Only 19,30 Euro. I was looking for a DH-20A3P to replace my noisy A1 series but now I don't know if the new drive is a better choice or not.

I was looking for a DH-20A3P to replace my noisy A1 series but now I don't know if the new drive is a better choice or not. I never seen anyone here with this new model but maybe I'm wrong. Someone has some information?
Of course, Wind could give but lately he is a little ghost.

Tests look pretty nice and it has jitter scanning, unlike the 20A3P.

DH-20A4P is using MT1898E (16A1X/18A1X/20A1X) chipset... older chipset than DH-20A3P...?

Looks like they can be crossflashed, waiting DH-20A4P firmware for flashing

I agree. I wonder what the point of releasing these drives is. If there are hardware differences they appear to be minor since the firmware does work on the older drive.

I heard from BenQ official saying that DW2050 has some minor hardware difference with older models.

Codeking the fiemware on my drive is NP53, if you still want it just let me know how to send it to you. Here are scans of my first 3 burns.

You have to love Newegg ordered drive yesterday, delivered today before 2:00pm. Here is another scan of a CMC Verbatim MCC 03rg20 at 18x. Seems to have a problem with these disks at the beginning of burns.
