| With the PIE/PIF test at 8x it seems a better reader than LH-20A1P.

| Thanks for the scans 2601. Finally a sub 5 minute burn from a LiteOn.By any chance have you done an 8x and 12x burn. I'm wondering if 8x and 12x uses P-CAV.

At this rate, the next model will use CAV for 8x. These drives are just becoming plain boring. And what's happened to "LITE-ON" in the drive ID. Is this the beginning of the end for LiteOn. Will it soon become PBDS...

| At least it is the first time that firmware for the OEM 'DH' drives is available on the liteon site. The ATAPI DVD A DH16A1L was sold by HP before, but the firmware was available from HP only. Hard to believe they kill the Liteon name from the drive id to cut down costs.

| I don't think the 'DH' indicates that they are OEM drives anymore, going by this: http://www.liteonit.com/global/index...=26&Itemid=140

| Hi lewjay and congrats on your first post. ![]() I don't have the 20A3P yet but history has shown that newer models tend to burn better, sometimes after a few firmware upgrades. The 20A3P currently doesn't allow jitter to be displayed when scanning and has slower 12x burning. We are yet to find any additional features the drive has. I'm not sure at this stage whether any patches will be possible with this drive. We'll have to wait and see...
