LiteOn / PLDS / Sony Writer Discuss, Lite-on 40x12x48x and Nero at CD and DVD Writers forum; I was told that the Nero software shipped with my Lite-On burner is a crippled version that limits the number of burns before asking for a serial number. Is this true? Tim

Only limitations is that it do not support multiple writing (writing to multiple writers) and do only work with Lite-On writers and no other brands of writers.

Beside that it's a fully working version.

Go to the Nero site and download their latest and put the serial number for Nero that came with your Lite-on drive in when you startup Nero for the first time and all should work. That is what I did and have had no problems and can use all the features.
