iHAS124B please help

Hi Guys,

I bought 5x iHAS124 drives for DVD Mass Ripping, installed them all, only to find they are the 'B' variation.

I'm a bit stumped now because I only see firmware/patches for the 'A' variation which won't work so I have no idea what to do.

Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Gaz

Re: iHAS124B please help

Not much out there for the B version yet. I have the same drive and it rips just as good
or even better than any of my A version drives do it runs circles around my iHAS 524-98 A
drive and the 424 A and 324 A and my Asus 24B1ST or my Samsung SH-203B drive.

Re: iHAS124B please help

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I agree the drives seem good so far but I'm ripping a DL DVD in approx 11mins which is great but I was really hoping to get under 9 mins. This might not seem a lot but I have to rip over 1000 DVDs so every little counts.

Will we see patches/updates etc for the 'B' versions?

Thanks

Gaz

Ripping over 1000 DVD's wow those poor old drives
will be ready for retirement after that

I'm not sure if C0deKing is going to try and do anything or not
for the Liteon iHAS B version or do anything to make it possible
to cross flash the Asus B drives to Liteon drives yet.
