Hi,

I've been into overclocking my computer and stuff but just recently got into learning about CD writers. I just bought a 4015s and was wondering about updating the firmware on it. Is it trus that the 4015s - 4015w- and 48x lite on burners are all the same with just different firmwares? could someone experianced give me some recomendations on what to do whith my drive as well as dangers ( common ) . I would appreciate it. Ive looked through the forums and cant seem to find a basics thread. thanks

Re : cant seem to find a basics thread

it's right before your very eyes

The drive is called LTR-40125S
And there's no need in this step "- 4015w- " , simply because you'll take your drive directly 40125S -> 48125W.

Once again, all the info has been available for a pretty long while,
just open your eyes and look around here.

I don't know, it's a personal thing when it comes to choosing FWs- either it's VS02 or VS06.
The opinions regarding those 2 are varied.

I've decided to settle down and stick to VS06
even though I've been madly flashing the drive with the above stuff back and forth.

The links and stuff you can find here

VS06 http://home.bip.net/mikaj/40125w/fil...8125w/VS06.exe
