| Re: CodeGuys EEPROM Utility (v1.3.1) and Results It looks to me more like the drive is trying random write strategies ![]() The first one has PIF appox 500, and PIF lower than 3 (wtf ) and then the next burn is a low with a mountain at the end. Third burn is again decent, with a small rise of PI in the middle (8x zone) and then the 4th is downright embarassing. I mean wtf it's almost like the errors start climbing, then it hits the 6x write zone, +100, then hits 8x zone, +100.Methinks it might be the solution for some people. It's certainly not the solution for my burner. Either way, I've used up all my princos (thank god) so more trouble anyway TY forever!

| Re: CodeGuys EEPROM Utility (v1.3.1) and Results Hi guys! I have tried almost everything but without any success. My 812S@832S is not able to burn any DVD (+ -) with good result. I have tried all FW, patched by OP, … nothing. I also tried to use new EEPROM Tool to reset learnt media, but also without good result. I am using Traxdata DVD+R media 8x (Ritek R03) now, but I am not satisfied. PI errors are too high, PIF seems to be OK. Can anybody help me with this problem? | Re: EEPROM Utility for LiteOn DVD-Writers (v1.3.1) No, but it would be beautiful if Codeguys could do an EEPROM utility for CD-RWs.. ![]() The option which clears all the things the burner has learnt about various medias would be very useful also for cd-rw burners that doesn't go very well. Code could you do that?? Maybe when you have some free time! Pleaseeeee! |

| Re: EEPROM Utility for LiteOn DVD-Writers (v1.3.1) I don't believe so. I attempted to back up my Liteon CDRW drive's eeprom, but it didn't let me... in that it doesn't show my drive in the drop-down combo box... so I guess not.

| Re: EEPROM Utility for LiteOn DVD-Writers (v1.3.1) Windows Me does not support SPTI, so you have to make sure you ASPI is working correctly. Use Nero Infotool and check the ASPI tab. It should say that ASPI 4.60 is installed and working correctly. To install ASPI 4.60 go to this link: http://radified.com/ASPI/forceaspi.htm

| Re: EEPROM Utility for LiteOn DVD-Writers (v1.3.1) I use Win 98 SE and Win 2000. The util does not recognise my 411@811 zebra mod under Win98SE but des recognise the drive under Win2000. I have the latest ASPI on both Win98se and Win2000. |

| Re: EEPROM Utility for LiteOn DVD-Writers (v1.3.1) Thanks. I think the technique I have used is only allowing drives detected by SPTI to be added to the drive list and as Windows Me and 98 doesn't have SPTI it will not detect any drives. I'll check it out and see if I can correct this.

| Re: EEPROM Utility for LiteOn DVD-Writers (v1.3.2) New release: EEPROM Utility v1.3.2 EEPROM Utility v1.3.2 has been released to address an issue with Window 98 and Me, which doesn't support SPTI. I also added the date info to the drive ID, in the drive list. Changes: 1/ Searches for drives on SPTI and ASPI. 2/ Shows drive date in the drive list.
