CDFS Format And UDF format

Hi everyone,
I am having a problem with a lite-onDVDRW LDW-811S optical drive. It will read only UDF format. Is there a way I can change it back where it can read both CDFS and UDF?

it can read dvd-r and +r and anything dvd

try to boot from a cd. if it won't work than your drive's cd laser is dead, you can't fix this.

and that's also a good reason to buy a new dvd writer.

it burns dvds it plays them it just doesnt go to cdfs when i put in a regular cd!

I know there has to be a way of making it go back to cdfs and udf format i just dont know how :-p

this is spamming what you do here. you can write this all in one post or just use the edit option shown under every post.

if you don't try to boot from a cd, noone can halp you.
the drive uses two lasers, one for dvd and the other for cd. if one is dead it can't be recovered.

Your burner has 2 lasers!!! One for DVDs, the other for CDs. One can die while the other still works...

correct me if i am wrong about a dvd writer has 2 lasers question

a dvd writer has
1 laser to read cd
1 laser to read dvd
1 laser to write cd
1 laser to write dvd

total of 4

i never realy thougt about that

if one laser dies, you can't get it to work again. it's time for you to buy a new drive.
the drive has only two laser; one for read/write cd and the other for r/w dvd.
