LiteOn / PLDS / Sony Writer Discuss, Can be used firmwares from different brands, but same drive types? at CD and DVD Writers forum; Hi, I have a TEAC DV-W516GA DVD writer, which is in fact a LITE-ON SOHW-1653S. On the LITE-ON site I've found a much recent firmware than mine, (C4S6) so my question is, can I flash this one? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have a TEAC DV-W516GA DVD writer, which is in fact a LITE-ON SOHW-1653S.
On the LITE-ON site I've found a much recent firmware than mine, (C4S6)
so my question is, can I flash this one?
