2 dead LiteOn iHAS 124

I am in the US the product came from NewEgg. I purchased a iHAS 124 to crossflash to a Asus clone. I made about 15 burns, decent quality tried to use the burner the next day and it will not recognize any media

burned, blank, or pressed DVD and CD. OK I assumed it did not like being crossflashed so I order another. I burned 3 discs last night and the same thing today

The new drive will not recognize any media and I did not crossflash this one so I would advise anyone interested in this drive to wait for a while because there is something seriously wrong with this model. It is not my system because I have had a iHAS324 for months now and it works perfect.

LOL The Damned thing is possessed. I tried everything I could think of except disconnecting and reconnecting. I checked a little while ago and the problem has corrected itself it is back to normal.

I have read similar reviews about the iHAS 124 being flaky -- I presume it isn't the same drive as the iHAS 324?

Slightly different 22x max. burn speed for -R media.The EEPROM checksum for the iHAS324 is different to the iHAS124.

First sorry for "bumping" this thread but i saw here that you sucessfully flashed LiteOn IHAS124 into Asus DRW-24B1ST so please if you have .bin file of DRW-24B1ST to send me this file via PM or e-mail, because i couldn't extract DRW-24B1ST .bin file from .exe flasher, or if you have some other advice about this issue i'll be also very happy.

No, I choose easiest way, i sold that shit and buy better and faster burner.

And of course, now I know that this IHAS shit is just a rebadged Optiarc so it cannot be crossflashed into Asus.
