| Plextor Writer Discuss, Is there a media scanner utility (Kprobe) for Plextor burners? at CD and DVD Writers forum; Anyone know if there's a dvd media scanner utility for plextor burners (PX-708a)? I know Liteon has a utility called Kprobe ( http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread....5&pagenumber=1 ) I wanted to know so I can test the quality of my burns. Thanks |

| Hi, the answer is the following: Plextools Professional. However, while Kprobe works on practically any Liteon Burner, only a few Plextor drives have quality check capabilities.  To be more precise, the Plextor Premium CD-Rewriter (aka 523252) is able to perform C1/C2/CU test and beta/jitter test. I have it, use it for testing CDs and it works well. About DVDs, the brand new Plextor PX-712A DVD-Rewriter should be able to do PI/PO quality checks with DVDs... However, it is not yet available here in Italy so I can't tell you more than this.
