I'll post some scans of Ritek G05 media, sometime tomorrow. Though, I was one of the rare people who didn't have any trouble with this media to begin with.

Not Quite, I've heard of people getting 5:19 with the LG.

i've noticed that Plextools needs to eject the disc to close it whereas NERO does not adding anywhere from 5-15secs on to a burn time.

I'm wondering if BenQ has a problem reading this media with Accucore. Can anyone else that has this particular media upload some scans?

Mark
You chose "max" for BenQ and much slower speeds for Plextor with SONYD11.

I did a comparison with Verbatim MCC003 8X DVD+R at 8X with Version 1.03 and 1.04 (PR On and AS On) ... here are the results:

Crawler, I think you're going to have to burn at 16x to see a difference, if there is a difference. Your 8x scans above are so good, they are already at about the statistical noise floor.

That's what I wanted to point out, cause everybody complaints about high error-rates with 1.03 ... just keep the speed at 8x or 12x and the quality delivered by the 716a (no matter if 1.03 or 1.04) kicks ass. I am fortunatly not one of those people who can't wait two more minutes for the writer to finish a disc - quality comes long before speed in my opinion, thats' why I stayed with plextor since my first burning-encounters. But perhaps I'll try burning a disc with 12x or 16x and post the results here later ...

Hi, you excuse my English but stò translating with a program.
I have also bought me this master. Version 0203.
I have some doubt:
In reading of DVD it stops him to 8-9 X
And' normal?
How can I make to go him/it to the speed of 12 X?
Thanks and you still excuse for the bad translation of the text.

I've burn two MCC 003 @ 8X with 1.04.
One is fine, but the other has a sector unreadable.
Maybe a defective media ....
Is anyone having the same problem ?

did you check the disc for dust/debris/etc.? if it's clean, probably defective media.

Do a real write test (create data disc) and you may add about +30-40 seconds to the burn time due to lead-in/out/calibrating.
