wildchild77 & Arrow, if you click on "Preferences"... then goto the "Qcheck PI/PO Test" tab... and in the "Error Limit" field put 20. That will allow you/us to see more details of the scan. drpino just showed me how to do that last night.

The PX-716A sure seems to burn MCC02RG20 better than the 712A.

Verbatim DLP +R 16x, Reorder 43498, Made in Taiwan

Clean burn at 16x, no slowdown. Slight raise of values towards the end, but nothing to worry about. IMHO a truly excellent Media.

For comparison I did a Beta/Jitter Scan on my 712a (last pic). Beta ist more or less identical. Interestingly the Jitter result is smoother than the one from the 716a.

Write Strategies for Sony +R 16x (D21 00) and -R 16x (16D1). -R is done in a clean 6.7-16.3 CAV while +R still uses this funny Z-CAV as known from FW 1.03 and lower. Maybe a bug in FW 1.04?

Sony -R 16x (16D1) burned at 16x. Sum8, Sum1 and Beta/Jitter scans. PR kicked in and slowed down to 12x at 3.2GB (see jump in Jitter graph and reduced values in Sum8 graph).

Burner: PX-712A
Firmware: 1.06
Media: TDK 8x DVD+R (YUDEN000T02)
Burn Speed: 12x
Burning Software: Nero CD-DVD Speed 3.61

Another one of those random miracle 12x burns. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why some discs from the same batch burn this cleanly and others have that typical PIE burn pattern seen in many of my scans.

Even an LG 4163B needs that long for a full DVD+R, it is almost impossible that a Plextor 716 could write an entire DVD+R in that time

I think, this time is what ImgToolBurn have said !!
But ImgToolBurn gives the time >without< the leadout,
so you must add ~30 seconds !!

DVD+R:CMC MAG-E01-000
Plextor 716 0203 Firm 1.04
Nero 6.6.0.6.

Before the burn, i made a FE/TE test, and it was judged as GOOD.
Than i did use Nero.
Now 1ยบ result, with Plextools 2.19A...Good acuracy

Than, with the new Plextools
2.20 same parameters.....weird.....

Any comments?

Getting some odd results...
Verbatim Dual Layer 2.4x, burned at 6x, got error spikes less than 20!
Verbatim 4x +Rs, errors upto about 80
Verbatim 4x -Rs, errors past the 200 mark!
