    Seems to be the burn was too fast or the firmware is too old. More than 30000 C1 errors is even bad for Sony Suprema Media. The Beta has a few spikes...

    This drive, for whatever reason, does NOT like these discs at high speeds (I won't even bother to post those rather colorful scans), but it looks like 16x is just fine. All in all, I'd rather feed them to the Premium 1 considering how well it did above.

    This is the first disc of 600 TDK MIJ 650MB CD-Rs I got off ebay (willing to part with half ). They have a much greener dye color than the USA-made TDK 8x CD-Rs I have, which have more of a turquoise color. Everything looked good until the TRT, maybe these old discs just don't like being read at high speeds?

    Before you ask, yes, this disc has the exact same hub info as the first. I guess it doesn't change. And I believe a piece of debris on the disc is the cause of the C2 errors.

    This one looks pretty good aside from the jitter, but it was scanned on the 716UF. I will have to scan it on one of the Premiums for a more accurate set of results.

    This is the same disc in post #219 but scanned in the PremiumII. The jitter looks higher but other than that the quality is the same; I would have assumed the CD-only burner would show higher C1 levels and perhaps some C2 errors the DVD-burners advanced PUH would have corrected.
