Plextor PX-712A not reading burnt DL discs correctly
| Plextor Writer Discuss, Plextor PX-712A not reading burnt DL discs correctly at CD and DVD Writers forum; Ive tried 3 DL with my plextor now and at least some point there will be a CRC error on the disc.. The Matshita UJ-832D, which I burned it with, reads the disc perfectly. Whats wrong with the plextor? |

| Proper reading support for +R and -R DL was only added with later firmare. Make sure you are using the latest: http://www.plextor.be/technicalservi...=DVD-Recorders Also try doing a quality test with the 712 and Plextools (Q-Check) on the problematic media. Maybe the Matshita did a rather bad burn. It is not uncommon that drives can read their own (bad) burns but other drives fail to do so. |
