Yes. There is native support for advanced CD burners such as the Yamaha CRW-F1 and the Plextor Premium II built-in to OS X. You won't be able to run the Plextor Professional XL software from OS X, but in terms of enabling special burning modes, this can be done via standard programs such as Toast.

Note: I've only verified the support for advanced options with the CRW-F1. I don't know if the Premium II advanced features are supported. Irrespective of that, the Premium II will work with OS X in it's standard mode.
