Actually I guess I made a mistake in saying that the 3 Gb RAM only being seen when I really have 4 Gb is not a XP problem. It is a 32 bit Problem not an XP problem. I have run 32 bit Vista and the problem remains. So I should not blame XP. If I were to Run 64 bit XP or Vista it would work.

But like Vista I would not be able to run anything I like to run Game wise. My Drivers would all be kind of Generic. So for now I guess lose 1 Gb and stick with 32 Bit stuff.

Yes I know the sig is still to long. I have been working long hours and have not been able to read that yet. To tired to comprehend it at the moment.

So, I get the feeling that you're not a big fan of this drive.

No I would not buy one. I believe the 760A was the last real Plextor that I will ever have. All these newer ones are rebadged, and you can get better even for 38.00.

Hi!

If you compare PX-755 to PX-760 is there any diffrence other than the speed.

I'm going to buy a new DVD and thinking on Plextor, but don't know what model I'm should buy then. They are really hard to find and they are very expensive also.

The Px-755 and the PX-760 costs about 4 times more then a Samsung.

The Samsung SH-203D 250 SEK, and the SH-203B cost about 261 SEK ($38)
The Plextor PX-755A costs 907 SEK ($139) and the PX-760A costs 1100 SEK ($159)
$1 = 6,91 SEK (Swedish Kronor)
Is a Plextor worth that?

Model 760 versus 755 has the following differences:

+-R 16x can be written 18x CAV versus 16x CAV
-R DL can be written 8x ZCLV versus 6x CLV
ROM-DL is read 16x CAV versus 12x CAV
760 supports AS-Striker tool (Import and Export of Autostrategy Database).

Other than that there seem to be some very obscure differencies when it comes to CD writing, that i would have problems to explain properly and that are probably beyond your worries anyway, so don't worry.

In my very personal opinion. YES. It's not so much the writing quality (which is very good, but many drives can give good results) but the extra functionality (autostrategy, scanning, overburning, Gigarec, etc. etc.) that i like so much and that make these drives worth it.
