Uncommanded shut-downs are usually the result of a power problem...possibly heat related.

Hi billy pap and welcome to CDfreaks. Can you tell us a little more about the shut down. Do you get a blue screen (bsod) before shut down, any funny noises from your PC like fan noise. Check and make sure that your IDE cable is properly seated and or try another IDE cable. Let us know.

Thank You For Yuor Replies. My System Is Brand-new. I Have No Extra Cooling Device But The Temperature Is Not High. When My Pc Shuts Down I Don't Get Any Blue Screens Or Any Noice At All. I Will Check My Ide Cables. If It Doesn't Work Properly I Will Contact My Dealer. Thank You Again.

Put your fingertips on the harddrives after an hour or so, and check how hot they are. Also check you BIOS, and see if you system has some heat meassurements build in for automatic shutdown when overheating, which maybe can be set by a threshold value.

I have seen this on other systems, that worked fine in winter time, but did make shutdowns in summertime.

EDIT:
If you haven't any cooling fans build in, you'll probably need it anyway!

Thank You Moef, The Problem Is Not The Heat. My Case Has 4 Built In Fans And 1 On The Processor. My Pc Stops Even If It Is Cool (just Opened). Pc Shuts Down 1 Minute After Start Writing Just As The Amber Light Begins To Blink. I Opened The Case And I Saw That On Ide Cable Plextor-writer Is On Master And Asus-rom Is On Slave But The Jumbers Are Set Plextor-slave And Asus-master. The System Recognize Them As Jumber Settings. Is This Wrong?

Looks wrong to me. With the Plextor (jumper set to master) it should be connected to the very end connector of the IDE cable and the ASUS (jumper set to slave) should be connected to the middle IDE ribbon connector. Best to set your Plextor to Master as it is UDMA 4 and I am not sure about the ASUS.

Hmm... strange, you are sure thats its because of you writer or reader? No auto turn off when you're not burning? Could be a defective drive, but also a defective power supply, or even motherboard. Many thing could be the case, but you really have to work your way into the problem, where it happends.

I've have motherboards with soldering problems, that did what your board does. I've also had a defective power supply, that did the same thing. Nomatter how your jumper settings are I don't think it can force a PC shutdown, unless a defect.

I have had bad IDE cable connections shut down or cause restarts on my PC when I start a burn so it is possible. I change drives quite a bit and sometimes I just don't seat it properly. Setting the Jumpers properly certainly can't hurt anything and may fix the issue.

I Think The Problem Is Not Software Or Media Related Because I Used A Usb Plextor 708uf And It Work Perfectly. So I'm Going To Change The Jumber Settings And If Not Work I Will Get It Back Where I Bought It (2 Weeks Ago). Thank You All.
