First issue (maintained since v3.11): The programme is loaded on start-up and shows the tv preview of my cable television. However, the channel shown is not the one it is supposed to show according to the channel/frequency settings. You have to go to the recording settings once to make it work correctly.

I cannot confirm that. It worked fine for me without having to rescan.

I just set up my computer from scratch last weekend. After 4 years of running XP things were starting to look and act 'weird'. I've had one case where a program now is entirely localised whereas before (after several updates) only parts of it were so. Maybe installing several updates of PTPXL has a similar effect and you need to uninstall and clean the registry from time to time ...

Might be worth a try. I'm thinking about migrating all minor applications to SVS. I can easily get rid of the various file versions and settings at a time. (My personal opinion: SVS is soooooo hot ... And it's free ... )

Can anyone check the verify (file comparison) function?

I just burned a ISO/UDF DVD and file comparison failed because the files where not found (PTPXL reporting the ISO filenames as not found, apparently it's using these instead of the original ones (which where what PTPXL converted the ISO filenames from)).

I'll have a look into this tomorrow. In the meantime, I've found out that scheduled recordings start from plus 20 seconds to plus 50 seconds with the delay rising from item to item (compared to the Windows system clock). I'll have an eye on it, too, in the next few days.

@hwp: I'm sorry, I haven't had time for testing because I installed PTPXL from scratch this morning and have been testing since. -- Do you see your network in the tree? I do so after connecting the ConvertX to a socket on the board instead to one on the slot (to minimize a/v sync issues). The weird channel confusion after starting the programme is still there ... I think I'll contact the Plex support people on Wednesday.

Network is the same whether the TV402U is connected or not. I connect via the boards connectors.

BTW: Has anyone else noticed the new 3D graph options in PTPXL? Still seems to be very experimental but it's there, nevertheless. Just double-left-click on the regular (PI/PO, TA) graph and you'll get something like this:

@urvieh: As for the double click it was probably just blind luck (aka. pressing the wrong button). As for the reset, i've no idea. Maybe reload/create a profile?

Found it: You have to delete the registry entries and then reset them to default values. After a restart of the software it is there again.

BTW: This problem is limited to DVD-writing. File comparison for CD-writing works fine.

It's totally messed up.
I tried changing from ISO to UDF, enabling/disabling joliet, and so on... nothing to do, I have to copy files to hardisk after the burning process to check if everything went fine...

What's up with Audio CD Maker? In vanilla PTP, it worked perfectly. In PTPXL, my tracks always get added in reverse order (i.e. 10, 9, 8. . . instead of 1, 2, 3. . .). It's not a huge deal, but it's a pain in the ass.

I wrote to Plextor about the ISO file verification problem. They recommended to update the firmware and to change the media. Now I know that the the support must have been the first thing they transferred to some north east Chinese village.
