Try v4.1 is very easy to understand I just dl the Pro 4.2 stuff because it is free

How will you know how good these drives perform if you don't do some testing with them so quite a few more tests coming if it's ok with everyone.

Very nice burn.
Maybe AMQR separates the two verions of drives for lower speed burning. Is that why the Premium 2 was built? I don't know any history on these drives.

Here are my 5th & 6 th burn by Premium II.

Media: Fuji TY cd-r from BB 4 years ago. MID TY type 1
Top one 16X by Premium II
Middle one 8X by Premium II
Bottom one 8X w/AMQR by Yamaha CRW-F1 for comparison.

All scanned by Premium II.

Perfect scan but it is not AMQR at all. You can't burn more then 68 minutes of audio onto 700MB CD-R, but on your scan it is more then 75 min. Maybe AMQR doesn't work if the capacity of the media less then it is needed for such burning even if it is stay activated? Or maybe these Fujies are 800MB?

You are right - that AMQR is NOT on. It seems the AMQR only works audio burning on Premium II.

I didn't think about that now I'm check two CD
Original CD was 667MB Fuji CD is 703MB think I AMQR is works
and AMQR was activated
I try again tomorrow use 500MB CD copy with AMQR
