Not true. www.esaitech.com Search for Plextor. They have everything, but at a super Premium price.

Thank You very Much Bitaddict this is what i was looking for!!!
I See Lots of Stuff there and Prices are about what i would expect and i am looking to pay just under $100 but if i have to go over for an excellent drive so be it. i have been reading about this stuff on the web for over 3 days about 4 hours at a time and i still fell very much in the dark and have read numerous reviews and i haven't been able to pick a Model that i think would suit me better than the next and the only prerequizites i have now are hopefuls more that stables like IDE, Black, DVD Rom not necessarily Write and as fast and Good as i Can Get it To Read CDs
So If anyone Has Rock Sold Model That Best Fits My Needs I am All Ears

With Some Research i am looking at the px-760a px-755sa and the px-750 any one better than the other, i have read the reviews on all and the main difference between the three is the DAE ability of 750 lacking in comparison to the others and What is the Deal with the plexwriter in the name of some models and not others?

In case anyone didn't know i would mainly be using the drive to rip CDs 1000+ and hopefully ripping Fast and Accurate and DVD thing would be nice for some of my Concert DVDs

If you are patient ebay has new 760 755 drives once and a while. It's hit and miss but they do turn up regularily

The PX-750A is a rebadge (not a true Plextor drive).

The PX-760 is pretty much a PX-755 with improved mechanics allowing it to burn at up to 18x instead of just 16x. Personally I think this difference is only interesting for marketing reasons, since the best burns are achieved at lower than 16x.

The "A" models are P-ATA and the "SA" models are S-ATA.
