| Verbatim 700MB 32x US+RW (Mitsubishi Chemicals Type 5) PX-755a, FW 1.05 Burn speed 24x Z-CLV Not really encouraging results. But at least no CU errors. Scan 1: new media, C1/C2-scan after first burn Scan 2: C1/C2-scan after 3rd burn Scan 3: C1/C2-scan after 5th burn A full erase was done after each writing. |

| Taiyo Yuden -R 16x (TYG03) sold as Panasonic PX-755a, FW 1.06 AS: Auto (did create strategy) Burn speed 16x CAV One big PIF spike @2.9GB position for no apparent reason (regular Beta at that point, no PoweRec reclibraton, etc...). Earlier firmware showed a similar result http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=112 but then there was a change in speed at that point, which is not the case here. | TDK -R 16x (TTH02) You'll perhaps remember the failed burn as shown here http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=161 It seems the lot of TDK -R media i have is of very variable quality. While this one used in the PX-760 review http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=127 was a good one, the one used for the PX-755 review and the one shown below were very bad. |
