Bit setting/book type for dual burners?
| Firmware Discuss, Bit setting/book type for dual burners? at Computer Hardware forum; If im not totally wrong there is no dual burner that can change the book type on DVD+R? Shouldnt it possible to do some firmware hacking on this if its not already done? I want my DVD+R to be DVD-ROM's for better compatibility... thx! |

| It appears the LiteOn LDW-811S latest firmware supports Book-Type Bit setting. Check out what it says about the latest firmware here: http://www.liteonit.com/ODD/english/...-firmware.htm. However it is only for the LDW-811S |

| I don't know what a modified book-type setting is. After searching for it the only thing I can come up with is that it may be a modified firmware (guess). Anyway here is some info on the NEC http://www.cdfreaks.com/news2.php?ID=8780 |
