What is this drive called???

This thread is about the BenQ DW1600. Click here to see full specs

Hey i dunno what this cd drive is can i have some info on what series it is... It is also dieing so i need to use it before it dies out.
Any info will be good (sorry for ad quality it is night time and i am taking picture with webcam...) Thanks in advance:d:d
??Also will i be able to burn dvd+r with this drive??
This is my dads dvd burner not mine i ave a hp laptop which is not supportive of writing dvd+r cds

It appears to be a cd burner. There should be the DVD logo on it.

Platinumsword has indicated that this is a CD burner and will NOT burn DVDs; either +R or -R.

(BTW please don't post about this in other people's threads).
