| Trying to Build my first new Gaming Tower I'm trying to build my first Tower. I have been shopping parts for my Tower and am trying to figure out what I need to get to make it run my games decently. I have the tower I'd like to purchase and it states that the Motherboard compatibility is 12" X 9.6" and the board I am interested in is 12" X 8.6". Both state ATX, but I wanted to see if the inch difference would make the board not work for the case. Also I wanted to get the Asus ENGTX560 - GeForce GTX 560. I'm going to be playing Star Wars the old republic, and Diablo 3, and other games similar. Would that be a good card to buy to run those games? |

| Re: Trying to Build my first new Gaming Tower As far as the Mother Board fitting not a problem. the GTX 560 is a pretty decent card, we would need a lot more info to really give you more help than that. What mobo , how much ram you are getting, what size and type HDD or SSd you are getting all makes a difference

| Re: Trying to Build my first new Gaming Tower Also how do you determine the type of power supply you need to get, is it simply looking at all the parts and adding up how many watts they use? |

| Re: Trying to Build my first new Gaming Tower That is pretty basic there, you want to find a good reliable one with a little room to grow into.

| Re: Trying to Build my first new Gaming Tower Well I figured you would have to go higher than just what the wattage of everything adds to. And how does the hdd mobo and ram sound? |

| Re: Trying to Build my first new Gaming Tower Sounds good for a regular build not sure as far as a gaming build goes , not into gaming myself. You might want to look into the Solid State drives they are running at some pretty decent prices right now.

| Re: Trying to Build my first new Gaming Tower Yo- I agree with bean55 - seriously look at a good 120-128GB SSD for your OS and primary program drive - as the speeds are really impressive. Be sure to buy a quality PSU - costs a little more but well worth it (as you can see below - I'm partial to Corsair psu's). A very fast and reasonably priced video card is the ati 6870 and with 2GB of ram if you can find one at a good price. Suggestion - always cross compare your prices with www.amazon.com to insure that you are getting the best deals (stay far away from eBay). Enjoy your build
