Hi,

I have this dvdrw on my Acer Aspire 3023 which has been working perfectly, I use dvdxcopy and nero. This week I downloaded anyDVD, DVD shrink and cloneDVD2, copied XXX2 and now I find that my dvdrw seems to play at about half speed, with juddery sound and video. I have removed all the new dowloads but to no affect, anybody got any ideas?

Hi,

I'm having this exact same problem, with the exact same DVD drive in an acer aspire latop. Any DVD's played in it are juddery for both the sound and the images. Also CD's played in it are juddery and the main one for me is that cd's burn really slowly when it says it's supposed to burn at 24x.

I too downloaded DVD shrink although i cannot tell you when this problem started.

Now i don't know enough about this sort of thing, i have no idea how to reinstall the drive or anything, so if someone knows the sloution a step by step idiots guide would be great.

Try to enable DMA mode.
