I'm Selling my old cell phone on ebay is it safe to give out the IMEI #

The possible bidder "says" they want to make sure it's not stolen.

There's the risk he could just make a problem by getting it banned.

If you don't want to give out the IMEI number then you'll need to get a checkMEND certificate.
