Scatches on label side of dvd's?

| No Unlike cd's which have the data layer directly underneath the label, dvds have the data layer in the middle. I have heard of some people using an engraver to label their dvds (I'm not sure why) with no adverse effects to the disks playablity. |

| Just make sure you don't treat cd's the same way. As has been said, dvd's have the recording layer sanwitched between two polycarbonite layers so it is quite well protected, but cd's have the recording layer placed on the back of a single piece of polycarbonite with very little protection and are very easilly damaged should you scratch the label side. |
