Hi, I've been having troubles with DVD+RW disks and my burner (LG GSA4163B). First of all, it can't format brand new DVD+RW, no problem with DVD-RW. Problem is, I got 10 Verbatim DVD+RWs before knowing this and I want to use them. I got a friend to format them for me and started using them, but very often I get the "Unspecified recorder error", burning stops at around 60-70% and "Burn process failed". This happens for both single and multisessions. It seems it can't finish the disks somehow cause when I choose multisession I can't finalize it (the option is grayed out). I don't multitask (much) and burn at the lowest speeds (x4 max). My Nero is not the latest (6.6.1.6), but I don't think it's a software problem, cause I've tried with different softs and the same happens. I'm guessing it's some kind of incompatibility between the burner and DVD+RWs, but I don't get these errors all the time and I'd like to know if I can use these DVDs, and how. | Don't have one so not much help here but do you have the latest FW installed ? Also you might try going to the burner forum for your brand and you might be able to find the answer there as I am sure someone else has had your problem, Sorry can't help you out on this
