    Hi All,

I am kinda new to this but here is my question quick and easy.

How do u back up dvds that can not be backed up (like most Sony DVDs)??

And what are the general steps? Are the steps below the correct steps??

    ********************************************

-Use DVDFab 3.0.4.0 to decrpyt and put all files in a folder (let's just say the desktop for right now)
-Use DVDShrink and open the folder location to encrpyt the files
    -Use Nero 9 (I think that's what I have)

    ********************************************

Are these the correct steps to backup/burn DVDs that DVDshrink can't rarely do by itself?

I usually use DVD Decrypter but it hasn't been able to decrypt a lot of the new DVDs.

    Please Help!!

Since neither DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter are updated with new copy protections, other tools are needed.

1 - To rip, DVDFab Decrypter is free and very easy to use
2 - Once it is ripped to the hard drive, open with DVD Shrink and backup or reauthor and export to an ISO on the hard drive, or a VIDEO_TS folder if you wish.
3 - Burn the video using ImgBurn (free) or Nero.

    All but Nero is free.

If you already have DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink installed, you could use RipIt4Me, which is a new front end for Decrypter that handles the new protections.

    RipIt4Me Installer: http://www.ripit4me.org/download.html

It's pretty simple once you get the hang of it.

Thanks Bearded one! I figured it would be basically the same thing.

    Thanks Again!
