Pioneer DVDRW DR-TD08HB not working after Windows 7 install

Hi all. I'm having a problem with my Pioneer DVDRW-DRTD08HB after doing a fresh install of Windows 7. I have already deleted Upper and Lower Filters but still not working. It shows up in My Computer and in Device Manager but if I insert a DVD or CD the drive spins at top speed and can't eject or stop it and the DVD drive disappears from My Computer. I asked Microsoft and they said I need to change some registry values. I'll copy the email they sent me below:


These are the keys I think are the ones in question - for the CD/DVD drive sub-keys of course
as there will other sub-keys in these keys. Be sure to ask for specific keys involved as well as
the settings.

That is a slimtype drive.

Install the OS with all drivers from the CD/DVD that came with the LAPTOP!
