Re: Optical Drives (DVD , blu-ray burners) Using Sata Rev III (6GB/s)

The "capture graph data" box is checked in ImgBurn settings?

I think I did some mistake when burning the test BD-R, as I did not check the verify box, maybe that's why ImgBurn did not store any data related to that burn...

finally after updating ImgBurn and OptiDriveControl to the latest version and playing a bit with ImgBurn graph data (located in the App data Roaming ImgBurn folder[win7]) I was able to open previous BD-R burn job and a newer one as well: here are the graphs of the last burn verify BD-R job
Thanks again for your valuable tips.

Re: Optical Drives (DVD , blu-ray burners) Using Sata Rev III (6GB/s)

Excellent

I could have posted 50 different possible reasons you were having trouble getting/finding the write graph, decided you might be smart enough to get there yourself . I did mention assigning a folder for your graphs. C:\ ImgBurnGraphs is sooo much simpler .

Don't see any signs of potential trouble there. Write buffer is steady, smooth write all the way to 6x, and not a single hiccup on the TRT . Thought I would see a CAV 6x write strategy. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity .

You, my friend, got a sweet deal on a good drive. Don't you love it when a hunch pays off? .

thanks to you guys and mostly to you Deanwitty for being of such a help and support, amazing job you are doing here,

Thanks for bearing with my laziness too, I should had figured that out earlier but did not mess with burning software firmware and such in 6 years ( since my first lite-on dual layer burner)

So those pits on the burning graph are normal ? Man I really got me a nice deal on this one, definitely feels weirdly great

take care

Can I quote you at my next job performance evaluation meeting with MYCE management?

I haven't gotten a raise in my payscale in three years now .

Seriously, you're welcome. I've had so many members of this forum help me out over the years that its always a pleasure to give some back. Thank YOU for having a little fun with me along the way . Please stop back anytime.

Didn't see any laziness . You learn PLENTY fast .

Ah yes, should have mentioned that there are good dips(myself among them I hope ) and bad dips(not many around here )

The dips you see in the write graph are normal and proper functioning of the on-the-fly burn quality checking of a burner. Stops for a moment to ensure the write strategy being used is producing acceptable burn quality. If you ever see the write speed dropping or leveling out to less than your chosen speed following one of those checks, that is telling you that the burner has sensed trouble and decided that that particular disc cannot be safely burned beyond that lower speed.

I suspect I am not the only one who's a little jealous of your E-bay ESP. You may have a future in the rehab/resell E-bay moneymaker racket .

Quote me ? lol are you serious, and do you guys have a real management ?
Yes you can
All the pleasure and the gratitude are mine.
E-bay ESP ( Extra Sensory Perception? Purchase lol) Was just a question of luck as other buyers hesitated on getting this piece of hardware because of the description of the seller, it still does some noise depending on how laptop is handled.

Unfortunately there is not much money you could really make on ebay because of the fees+shipping etc especially if doing so in an occasional and non systematic manner(not mentioning technical knowledge + repair tools + shopping time+ virtual store management)

What makes it a good deal is when you buy it fix it to keep it.(you don't loose the added value of your input into paying fees and stuff)

Thanks again for your kind help

Do we have a real management? Questions like that will not get you a warm welcome in the Netherlands should you ever visit there. I'm pretty sure that the forum's owner in Amsterdam thinks he is real. Member opinions on that question seem to vary from one day to the next The moderators on the forum are actually quite well chosen and very good at managing things.

JK on the pay. Just a member

Buy em, fix em, keep em. That works too .

I meant a management not virtual (through the forum tools), no pejorative meaning intended. Besides active or resident members like you that are so attentive and knowledgeable deserve at least to be rewarded once in awhile although sometimes the best reward is knowing that you helped someone especially when it's done in such a relaxed pedagogic and friendly manner. THANKS VERY MUCH.
