Newbie Question VHS to DVD???

Is there anyway to copy my old VHS onto this machine in order I can burn them to disc? AS I have said new to this and nothing too technical in any answer please Cheers |

| Well, if your VHS recorder has a DV-link it should be possible, but i don't think such VHS recorders exist. Does the 5045 have scart-in? Can you actually connect your VHS recorder to your 5045 via scart and/or a coax tv-cable?

| also know direct pipe through your box via vcr may require a black box to eliminate macrovision on some of those tapes..........

You say you are a newbie, but that does not mean you are retarded or mentally disabled. (some may argue this point ).Still, We are not here to spoon feed you.

| If you have home movies then it is a easy job by connecting the SVHS or RCA outputs of your VCR to your 5045 inputs. If it is copy right protected then pray for an old VCR or go and buy some new original DVDs! They are cheap!
