| I notice that when I burn data to a CD, the burning software (Roxio) does a verify at the end, but this never is done when burning an Audio CD. Why is this? Do burners verify *as* they are burning an Audio CD? If there is a tiny flaw at a certain spot on a blank CD-R (or a piece of dust or a scratch), do burners know to skip over it and write to a good spot? Do they verify Audio at all? Or, do they just write continuously to the CD-R surface no matter what, and flaws are flaws? Any help is appreciated. Thanx. |

They always burn continuously. Verification only compares data in the disc with the source data, after burning (not while burning), AFAIK. For audio, you have to do it by yourself, once you know that your CD-ROM can read audio without problems. Last edited by minix; 18-08-2003 at 11:26. |

| Use "Compare WAVs" tool in EAC Another reason why verification would fail: http://www.feurio.de/English/faq/faq_exactcopy.shtml |
