mpeg2 to dvd

Newbie Forum Discuss, mpeg2 to dvd at Starters forum; Just installed wintv and thought I could record direct to dvd but apparently not so how can I burn what I have recorded to the hard disc to dvd. I think its mpeg2 but just says windows movie file in properties. I'm reasonably competent wit Shrink and imgburn but clueless
