know anything about CDAs??

I have a cd that i want to rip to my computer to ultimately put the music on my ipod..

only problem is that the files on the cd are cda files so my computer isnt registering it into any of my regular music programs (i.e. itunes, windows media player..)

is there any way around this dilemma so i can get the music onto my ipod???
