HP Pavilion t610i DVD Drive ND-2100AD

hi guys

i have a HP Pavilion t610i PC. i got a OEM fitted NEC ND-2100AD. it dosent burn a dvd-r. wat to do??. help me with a step to step guide on flashing the drive. i want to burn DVD-R, DVD+R is not available easily in India.

First you need to explain what you mean by it does not burn. That does not tell us what software you are using to burn and or what is really happening when you use the program. Something like it stops durning the burn or the the burn dvd will not play or the computer does not see the dvd media, then we might be able to help. I would tell you read the (read first) at the top of the forum your answer might be there. If not get back with more info and we might be able to help.

I did some checking and the NEC ND-2100AD is a +r writer so it will not burn -r dvds unless you can find a firmware that will allow it to burn the -r
Go to this location and there is a firmware there that will allow you to flash it to burn -r dvds look for this line at the site below
2100A to 2500A, Allows burning of -R media. Supplied as a binary. This is the 2500A 1.06 firmware patched to work on a 2100A, and includes RPC1 and Rip Lock patch. 2100 @ 2500 1.06

i tried burning dvd-r but the drive dosent detect the dvd. i looked at the site i use a hp pavilion t610i i got a nec nd-2100ad with it wat should i use. thz
