How to copy dvd on a laptop to another dvd?

Usually I am copying the dvd on my desktop computer that of course has the two places to put the dvds when you copy it. The laptop of course does not. So, how exactly do I record |
| I have dvdfab and it has worked fine for me in the past. Usually I am copying the dvd on my desktop computer that of course has the two places to put the dvds when you copy it. The laptop of course does not. So, how exactly do I record it, where/how to save it so I can put in the blank disk to copy it to? I am still learning about all this. Laptop/Desktop makes no difference; copy and shrink the original DVD to an ISO image or folder on your laptop and then burn to a blank DVD using ImgBurn or DVDFab as usual. Sláinte midders

| I just copied a dvd and dvdfab gave me an opportunity to put in the blank disk in. However, it keeps telling me that the blank disk I am putting in is not a detectable media..... I have regular blank dvd's I've always used. DVD+R 16X 4.7 GB except just moved here to Germany so the brand Pengo is not one I have used before. Is there anything I should ck on the computer to make sure it is able to write a DVD. I have never used this laptop to copy before. And before what I meant was....the tower on my desktop had a CD/DVD ROM and DVD/CD Writer so I was able to put in both at same time. Thanks for your help but when you say "shrink" what do you mean? sorry again for the computer ignorance. I just had to save it bc the blank wouldn't work... I didn't know how to save it. | Ashampoo Burning Studio 9 is what I swear by. I am a converted Nero user. Switched to Ashampoo never a problem. Click on copy dvd. It asks to insert a non-blank dvd. Builds the image. Asks you to add a blank disk and burns it. Simple. The program also will do .iso burns, bootable disks, and blu-ray. Awesome program and copying one non-encrypted dvd to another takes about 8 minutes depending on how much RAM you have. If you have a ton it will take less time. |
