| How to Convert .GI Files to .MPEG Files I am a Newbie. This is my first request for help. I have my daughters communion ceremony which was done on Video Camcorder (Cassette). And than my friend by using Prassi PrimoDVD converted it into DVD and created two DVDs which are in .GI Format (2.5GB and 1.6GB). I can play them on my computer as well as on the DVD player. The problem is that I want only one DVD and in MPEG format, so that I can make few copies and send it to my family members where they can see it. I saved them (transfered them) on my computer in mydocuments/my video folder. Than I tried to burn it by using NERO, SONIC, AVS4YOU and MPEG Video Wizard, which I found on this forum. Unfortunately after Burning them I tried to play it, but can not. Keeps saying the file is not valid formate. Just a waste of 4 DVDs. Is there any way I can put two DVDs into one and in MPEG Formate? Your guidance will be deeply appriciated. Thanks. |

| Re: How to Convert .GI Files to .MPEG Files You would have to re-author both images You may use a Virtual Driver like Daemon Tools to mount and ShrinkDVD to re-arrange both to one DVD.

| Re: How to Convert .GI Files to .MPEG Files Thanks, Chef. Would you be kind to explain me in little more details, as I am not an expert/professional as you are. What do you mean by "re-author"? Also where to find the virtual driver like Deamon? Thanks. |

| Re: How to Convert .GI Files to .MPEG Files OK, seem that Isobuster is able to extract the content from .gi images. http://www.smart-projects.net/help.php?help=idx Once you have those you could mount them using Daemon Tools http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/announcements.php and then use DVDShrink to re-author both images into one. http://www.dvdshrink.org/ http://www.dvdshrink.info/reauthor_intermediate.php http://www.dvdshrink.info/compilation.php
