How to convert a DVD to a VHS tape

I am trying to convert a dvd to a vhs tape.Do I come out of the dvd player go into a stabilizer out of it into the vcr then record? I have a dual vcr/dvd player. or can it even be done this way?

It would be copying, not converting.

Yes it can be done very easy! As chef was saying {Quote=chef] Only if the source is not protected. but if it’s a protected DVD you can still do it! All you need is what some people call a Black Box between your DVD player and VCR recorder and it will filter out the protection. If you live in the US try Radio Shack they should have it or use the Search at the top, it’s been covered before and has some links to web sites where you can get the box.
No not really DVD is Digital and VCR is Analog so it’s converting from one format to another and it would be Backing-Up

back up dvd on computer, burn disk with dvd burner, then record vhs

when are motels, etc gonna keep dvd players, they say people steal them,
but not the vcr's.
