| Welcome to the forum ![]() I think your burner has a problem with the Ritek D01 media. You could try a firmware update and see if that helps, but otherwise I'd recommend switching to Verbatim (the only DL I'd use unless I fancied a gamble).

It's supported in the current firmware on the drive, but an update *might* mean better support. First we need to know what firmware is on the drive right now. You can find this out by running Nero InfoTool and checking what it says for "Firmware".

| To add to this I'd suggest a different method of copying DL discs. I would use DVD Decrypter in it's ISO read mode to create an ISO image and then burn that image with ImgBurn. With this approached the layer break will be correctly set so playback shouldn't suffer hesitation at the layer break. As with Nero you might need some other application to overcome copy protection. Whilst I think V7 has improved it's DL media writing ability there's no way I'd trust an expensive (Verbatim) DL disc to it. |
| my firmware version is UDS2 Tim can you hook me up with those programs? and how expensive is Verbatim DL? becasue the fujifilm I can get on sale for $20 for a 25 pack |
| DVD Decrypter ImgBurn Verbatim DL are likely to be cheaper in the US than they are in the UK - check out our Bargain Basment forum, US members always post good media deals in there. ![]() Is your firmware deifinitely UDS2 and not UYS2?
