| OK, here's a confusing problem. ...for me anyway. I had around 6GB of digital family photos. I was running out of space at that particular location. I could have moved them, but chose to burn them to DVDs and reclaim the space for more photos. I used Nero 7.? to burn 2 DVDs. The first one, is right here in my DVD drive. It took a fairly long time to burn on my ancient computer, I'd say an hour or more. It finished without error. The principal intention was to create a backup and free up the space, but I was also hoping to be able to view the JPEGs on my TV via a regular DVD player. Anyway, that didn't work. I shrugged it off cos at least I had the files that I could use on the computer. ...but apparently not. Looking at the DVD contents in Windows Explorer, I can only see 1.2MB of Nero branded .html pages and no images. Surely this would not have taken anything like an hour to burn, right? So, I'm hoping that the files are on the DVD and that someone knows the secret to retrieving them. It certainly looks like the disc has been burnt around half-way from centre towards the outside. Any ideas? |

| What template did you use in Nero? Hopefully DVD-ROM.. and added the files to the burn window. It should not have taken an hour, so I'm wondering whether Nero has burned them as a slideshow or something that required a re-encoding step. Hopefully you still have the original files on the hard disk?

| Be great if I did have the original files wouldn't it? I would simply burn them again and avoid wasting you guys' time. ...but alas. Anyway, from shadey memory I would say that I would have opted for DATA DVD. ...and if it was a slideshow, wouldn't I expect to see some files on the disc apart from the .html? Any more for any more? |
