| Enabling DMA I have installed a _NEC DVD_RW ND-3540A. I am using 1Click DVD Copy 4.2 It takes me 4 hours to copy/burn a DVD. I read somewhere in here where they said to enable your DMA. All of my drives have a box to enable and it is automatic in Windows ME, however, this DVD RW does not have a box to enable DMA. How can I make sure it is enabled for this drive and how can I burn DVDs faster than 4 hours? |

Right-click the icon for the channel to which the device is connected, select Properties, and then click the Advanced Settings tab. In the Current Transfer Mode drop-down box, select DMA if Available if the current setting is "PIO Only." Reboot |

| Re: Enabling DMA Since you can see it for the other drives and not for the new drive you could have a problem for the settings for that drive in the computer bios. In most cases you hit the del key at startup to go to the bios. Check that the new drive is set in bios for DMA. |
