Data Error cyclic redundancy check
i would like to know wat this error means...
"Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)"
i had prevoiusly copied a dvd using dvdfab platinum..
now the same dvd i want to make an extra copy..
im trying to use dvd shrink but when it analyses it gives me an error like data error cyclic redundancy check...
i even tried to copy the files manually using cut copy paste frm the video_ts folder in the dvd since its not a protected dvd but there also i get the same error..
wat can i do now???
to resolve this???

this is a very common question. a search turns up a number of relevant threads, but here's the recap
also, if you REALLY want to know what it is, see this wiki article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclic_Redundancy_Check (although I'm not sure anyone really wants to know ALL of that info )
since you're making a copy of a copy, my best guess is you have a poor quality burn (ie defective disc).
solution: make the second copy from your original.
