    im looking on how to run a karaoke machine off my laptop... i have the program, KaraFun Player. How do i copy the karaoke cd's?

    ok let me re-phrease it... i don't want to put them on cd... i want them to be on my laptop... but for some reason they are recognized as CDA files... not KFN or the karaoke formats

    What programs/software do you have on your system to rip CD's ?
    I some times use Roxio easymedia creator to do a lot of my karaoke, I akso use others if they are on DVDs

    thats what i wanna know... all i use to rip is windows media player... its actually not for me... my buddy wants to know but he asked me to find out for him... so Roxio easy media creator works to rip karaoke cd's... like he has over 600 originals he wants to copy onto his laptop for his business

    Yes Roxio will work I use it all the time
    a lot of karaoke don't have any protection on them so there are other programs that can be used like isoBuster which you can use to extract all the files to you system

    Ive tried the ISO buster... and either im doing something wrong or it isn't ripping the lyrics...

    What drive is being used to rip the cdg discs?
    I think only certain drives can get the sub-channel data on those discs.
    Like Plextor drives and some Samsung drives.
    Do some googling to get more info on that.

    Quick question on this. When ripping the CDs do the lyrics need to be in a separate file of the same name, sort of like an .srt file for video?
