complete newbie with a 401s@411s need help

Hi there..

I bought this recorder yesterday,and i want to start using it
but the problem is that this is my first dvd recorder and i have some doubts on some things.. please help me

first,which software should i use to record? i have nero 5.5 enterprise edition..is it good or enough?

and for diferrente types (+,-,etc..) should i use different software?
and how do i select the speed of burning? is it automatic with the media speed? can we see the real speed of burning when burning?
I haven't recorded anything yet..was hoping also on some tips and advices from the best...You guys!


and by the way..how do i test if the mod was successful? i've read about a k-probe..what is it?and how to use?

Speed is usually being selected in Burn tab ( Nero )
Get the manual & learn more > NeroBurningRom_eng.pdf ( you'd need Adobe Acrobate to be able to view it )
