First of all, apologies if this has been answered before, I found nothing in the forums, so I'm left with an unresolved question. Basically I've crossflashed my old Sony DW-U18A to a LiteOn 832S using the codeguys CG5M firmware. I understand I've turned my rebadged 812S into a dual-layer drive without having to purchase another writer which is a bonus. I understand as well you can change the booktype using tools like EEPROM utility and the LiteOn booktype utility. The trouble is EEPROM utility won't allow me to change the bitsetting whereas LiteOn Utility does!  What gives!? |
