Burned CD doesn't play in CD player

Hi,
I have this problem with my burned CDs (made from mp3 to music CD)
they show up in my PC, but don't play in CD players. I was using Nero to burn the discs.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thorgal.

Hello Thorgal, welcome to CDF

Something to check - does your CD player supports CD-R media?

Next thing would be burn speed - I recommend 16x for Audio CDRs

You may also like to try the small, free program Burrrn - I use this and my audio discs turn out fine.

Lastly, what brand of discs are you using?

Sorry for all the questions!

Re: Burned CD doesn't play in CD player

Are you burning mp3 to CD, or converting to WAV?

Some standalone players aren´t capable of playing mp3 CDs

Re: Burned CD doesn't play in CD player

I would also try with Burrrn , but as deanimator stated some players don't play mp3's, so try saving as wav and see if it works for you...cd discs are cheap enough so test away....
BTW according to your post, in Ner0 you are going from MP3 to Audio CD,and not burning to MP3 cd right?

Re: Burned CD doesn't play in CD player

I've never had any problems using windows media player to burn music files.?

Don't see how burrn does anything different.

I use nero to burn mp3 files into jukebox cd's to play in car mp3 players because you can burn hundreds of songs onto one CD.

It sounds like your CD player can't play mp3's and all burrn does is convert them the same as media player. The more burning programs you've got loaded the more chance there is of conflict... At least thats what I've found the hard way..

Burrrn often works where others, particularly Nero, fail. Who knows why.

Hehe...I think Burrrn is the best at what it does. Converts from many different audio formats too

Whereas Nero is a Jack-of-all-trades kinda thing.

Yup. My motto: whatever works, be it Nero, Burrrn, whatever.
