| Newbie Forum Discuss, Is bit torrent any good? at Starters forum; i'm danielle, not sure how this works but hopefully someone will respond what i would like to know is if anyone knows anything about bit torent. is it good and is there a free version available |

| Pick a client you want to use and download their softwere and find a site that uses torrents and download.....That is as far as i will help sorry(bit torrent can be a touchy subject)

| Bit Torrent is the best P2P out there, however it is like any other P2P and can be used legally or illegally, that's your choice. On CdFreaks they (of course) stress legally and it would be wise of you not to mention the other way. |

| dont get me worng if u like to use bt then go ahead it is just i have had big time xp wit bt cus it was the one of the very first peer to peer's that i used it is just i had to wait so so long to get r file i was uploading at 120KB and downloading at 40KB to me that is not fair after i found  revconnect and found out wat r real download speed was i will ref anyone i can to it. if u like bt then hey go ahead and use it but if u think it is the only one place that u can get r good file from then man i feel for u and say use revconnect that is all up to u wat u used |

Maybe it is because i am choosey on the files i get....and the people that complain about it choose the ones with low seed/peer ratio. I have no clue what other people use and how they configure their P2P client what ever it be. Between the way it is configured, the seed/peer ratio(you never know if you got people on a 56k connection) port forwarding and how many downloads you got going at once these are some major factors in what affect your download speed. I was just simply stating that my experiance with BT was not all that bad as you desribed with yours. Some people have good experiances and some have bad ones. I am sorry if you miss understood me in any way but please feel free to go back and read what i said if you think this is what i was saying Quote:
