Backup cd of GTA3
| Newbie Forum Discuss, Backup cd of GTA3 at Starters forum; Well im halfway there now with gta3, I copied the install disk with my lite-on 48x my father copied the play disk with his lite-on 32x. We both used cloneCd but when it came down to playing the game it played on his 32x no problem but it did not |
| Well im halfway there now with gta3, I copied the install disk with my lite-on 48x my father copied the play disk with his lite-on 32x. We both used cloneCd but when it came down to playing the game it played on his 32x no problem but it did not even start playing on mine.... Whats up with that????? |

| It seems something to do with safe disc. If you use a safe disc emulator it should work. As it did for me. Try daemon tools. |
| daemon works fine when you enable emulation but im wondering why my cloneCd hide cdr media is unable to be enabled |

| Ok, I'm having trouble copying GT3 as well. I have CloneCD version 306l. And the play disc just doesn't work. As I remember there was a site where you could download software that deleted all CloneCd files. But I can't seem to find the site. From what I understand if I don't use the cleaner, I won't be able to use a newer verson of Clone CD . Is this true???  |

| ...and remember that Hide CD-R media must be enabled for the backup of GTA 3 to work from a CD-RW drive. Without Hide CD-R media enabled the backup will only work in CD/DVD-ROMs.

| yes it does.check it with clonyxxl youll see it does.the 2nd disc does not contain the exe.it contain the audio files only with some tmp files(safedisc)  |
| I know it has the EXE contained in it. I don't remember it doing a CD Check though, only the Play Disc does that for me. If I had to bet, you could back up that disc very easily without the use of Clone CD. The files 00000001.tmp 00000002.tmp and those other ones are not present on the CD, or at least they aren't on mine. The Install Disc just contains the protected CD, which only applies to the play disc. Does anybody agree? |
